Durban’s warm weather sets the stage for a spectacular day at the Greyville Racecourse, where sponsors, partners, racegoers, punters, fashionistas, models, and designers will converge to witness the ultimate showdown. Race 7, scheduled for 16h00, will feature 18 top-class horses vying for the coveted R5 million prize over a 2200-meter grass track.

This year’s event marks a significant milestone as Rachel Venniker becomes the first female jockey to compete in the 127-year-old race. Initially set to ride Without Question, Venniker will now ride Hluhluwe under the guidance of renowned trainer Justin Snaith. Despite facing numerous setbacks, Venniker is poised to make history and etch her name in the annals of the Durban July legend.
