The Nazareth Baptist Church Hosts Historic Prayer Service at Royal Palace

Date:

The Nazareth Baptist Church, a institution deeply rooted in traditional practices, hosted a momentous two-day prayer service at the KwaKhangela royal palace in Nongoma this weekend. The event, which was open to all, was graced by the esteemed presence of His Holiness uNyazi LweZulu and King Misuzulu kaZwelithini.

The mass prayer service focused on themes of renewal, holiness, and thanksgiving for the Zulu nation. The occasion marked a significant moment in the long and proud history of the Nazareth Baptist Church’s association with the Zulu royal family, dating back to its founder, Prophet Isaiah Shembe, and King Solomon kaDinuzulu.

In a poignant display of commitment to both the church and the Zulu Nation, King MisuZulu ka Zwelithini was baptized by the leader of the Shembe Church. This sacred ritual solidified the King’s dedication to his faith and his people.

During the ceremony, uNyazi LweZulu presented King Misuzulu ka Zwelithini with a sacred shield, symbolizing protection and strength for the throne of the Zulu nation. The shield serves as a powerful symbol of the King’s role as a guardian of his people and their traditions. The event served as a powerful reminder of the enduring bond between the Shembe Church and the Zulu royal family, fostering unity and spiritual growth among all who attended
