Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus has named an experienced matchday squad of 23 to face Ireland, the world’s second-ranked team, at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Tshwane this Saturday.
Following their impressive 41-13 victory over Wales at Twickenham two weeks ago, the coaching staff has made eight changes to the team, including the return of Captain Siya Kolisi.
The selected team boasts 12 players who started in the World Cup final just eight months ago in France. This match against Ireland marks the first of 12 tests for the four-time world champions this season, culminating in a clash against Wales in Cardiff on 23 November.
Kickoff is at 17:00 at Loftus Versfeld Stadium.
The experienced lineup suggests that Erasmus is seeking to leverage the team’s depth and expertise to tackle the formidable Irish side. With the Springboks’ reputation for excellence on the line, this match promises to be a thrilling encounter.
