KZN Premiers Cup 2024: Ulundi Set to Host Thrilling Provincial Showdown

The small town of Ulundi in the KZN Zululand District is bracing itself for a thrilling two-day football extravaganza as the 10th edition of the KZN Premiers Cup kicks off on July 27-28, 2024. The prestigious pre-season tournament will feature six provincial clubs, divided into Elite and second divisions, vying for supremacy at the Prince Mangosuthu Regional Stadium.

Defending champions AmaZulu will face off against rivals Golden Arrows in the first eliminator on Saturday at 11 am, while Royal AM takes on Milford FC at 14H00. Entrance to the stadium is free, offering an exciting opportunity for local fans to witness top-class football.

Sunday’s schedule includes the second semifinal between Richards FC and Maritzburg FC at 09H00, followed by the winners of Saturday’s quarterfinals at 12H00. The tournament culminates in the final at 16H00, where the victorious team will receive a lucrative R500 000 prize, a significant boost ahead of the new season commencing next weekend.
