Kenya’s economic struggles have been exacerbated by corruption, with the country ranking 137 out of 180 countries in Transparency International’s 2019 Corruption Perceptions Index. The proposed Finance Bill 2024 is seen as another burden on taxpayers, with many calling for its cancellation.
