The Kingdom of Eswatini has strengthened its relations with KwaZulu-Natal beyond cultural lines.
The nation of the late King Sobhuza II embarked on a fact-finding mission this past weekend and looked no further than their South African neighbours.
The delegation’s mission was pertaining to discussing two (2) sport categories, namely Traditional Equine and Indigenous games.
The delegation that consisted of Prince Makhosana Dlamini, Princess Lindokuhle Dlamini, and other members of the Royal House were warmly welcomed and hosted by the KwaZulu-Natal department of Sport, Arts and Culure.
“The aim of the overall visit was to learn more about these sports in order to introduce them to the Kingdom and ultimately to the rest of the SADC region” said Prince Makhosana Dlamini.
The visitors were taken to various sports venues and attended the IG tournament in Durban, much to their delight.
“We are honoured and view such trust in us as a confirmation that the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture in KwaZulu-Natal is testimony that we are doing extremely well as a province when it comes to prioritising Sport and we are always available to assist where we can. We thank the Kingdom of eSwatini for seeking knowledge and working relations with us” – KwaZulu-Natal DSAC Office
