The small town of Dundee in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands is gearing up to host the 19th edition of the Dundee July, themed “The African Jewel”, from July 2024. This highly anticipated event has established itself as one of the fastest-growing traditional horse racing spectacles on the continent since its inception in 2005.

A Celebration of Fashion, Music, and Horse Racing

The Dundee July promises an exciting experience for the expected 20,000 patrons, featuring a showcase of the latest fashion trends from local designers, a music extravaganza with separate events for local artists and the main event, and eight thrilling rural horse riding races.

Economic Boost and Job Creation

This prestigious event significantly contributes to the economy of both the Umzinyathi District Municipality and Endumeni Local Municipality, creating 3,500 temporary jobs across various sectors, including hospitality, tourism, retail, transportation, security, and entertainment.
